Our History

The principals of Horizon Advisors have more than twenty years of experience serving clients together.  Maddox, Thomson & Associates, P.C., (MTA) the sister accounting firm to Horizon Advisors, LLC has been serving Houston's high net worth since 1985. 

Working closely with our accounting clients in planning matters, it became clear over time that it would greatly benefit them to also be involved in their financial planning and investment management strategies.  In March of 1999 we became a registered investment advisor and thus, Horizon Advisors was born.
